Low Discharge (Pre-Charge) Batteries

Low self-discharge NiMH (LSD NiMH) offer a great alternative to regular NiMH when shelf life matters. Regular NiMH batteries lose some of their charge every day that they are off the charger. Because they contain thicker seperator paper and an improved positive electrode, low self-discharge NiMH can retain a charge as high as 70-85% of their rated capacity for up to one year off the charger. This makes LSD NiMH perfect for low-drain devices such as clocks and remote controls as well as higher-drain devices like digital cameras that are only used occasionally. In these cases, the lower milliamp of LSD NiMH is more than compensated for by the charge retention over time.

Low self-discharge NiMH come in AA, AAA, C, D and 9V and can be charged in any battery charger that is made for NiMH batteries.
