Question 1: I just received my MH-DPB180-SD ( Step Down Model) and after measuring the voltage at the plug end I found it still showed 6 volts.  Shouldn't it measure less in order to be safe for my camera.

Answer 1.  No it shouldn't.  The step down cable uses a voltage limiting component that will not show the stepped down voltage until a load is placed on it.  In this case your Digital camera is the load.  Once you plug the cable into your camera the voltage will be within the required range for safe operation of your digital camera.

Question 2: The fourth green LED rarely lights up. Is the battery pack not holding a charge?

Answer 2: Do not worry. The fourth green LED will remain off when the battery pack is being used. It will be lit only when you press the battery gauge button while the charger is connected. A three-LED display (red, green, green) indicates a full charge on the battery pack. Likewise, a one-LED (red) display indicates a low charge.

Question 4: I am confused regarding the polarity setting. Please clarify on how I should configure the "+" and "-" on the adapter plug.

Answer 4:  For 99% of the digital cameras in the market, the adapter plug configuration is: "+" on the camera cable to "+" on the adapter plug, and "-" on the camera cable to "-" on the adapter plug. See illustration below:

If you want to make sure of the polarity setting, you can double check by looking for the following diagram near the power input connector on your digital camera:

If you see this diagram (which you most likely will), follow the instructions above by matching the "+" symbol on the camera cable to the "+" symbol on the adapter plug.
If you see this diagram, match the "+" symbol on the camera cable to the "-" symbol on the adapter plug.

Question 5: The battery pack gets quite warm toward the end of the charge. Is this normal?

Answer 5: The battery pack will become warm towards the end of the charge. The PowerBank features an internal thermo-switch which will shut off in the event of over-temperature.
